Hartford Machinery recently welcomed its Swedish distributor to Taiwan for the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the SW-623 Gantry Machining Center. The FAT included comprehensive inspections of machine accuracy, cutting performance, dynamic stability, geometric precision, and overall machining capability. The machine successfully met all acceptance requirements, once again demonstrating Hartford's expertise in designing and manufacturing high-performance CNC machine tools and gantry machining centers.

During the FAT, Hartford's engineering team worked closely with the Swedish distributor to verify machine performance under real machining conditions while discussing machining applications, future market opportunities, and customer requirements across Europe. The visit also provided an excellent opportunity to exchange industry insights and strengthen technical cooperation between both companies.

Following the FAT, Hartford hosted a dinner gathering where both teams continued discussions on manufacturing trends, machining technologies, and future collaboration in a relaxed atmosphere. These face-to-face interactions help build stronger partnerships and reinforce Hartford's commitment to supporting its global distribution network.

For Hartford, every Factory Acceptance Test represents more than a final inspection before shipment. It reflects our commitment to delivering reliable machine performance, consistent quality, and comprehensive technical support that enables our distributors and customers to succeed in increasingly competitive manufacturing markets.

Hartford double column machining center SW series

SW Series Gantry Machining Center

Built for Heavy-Duty Machining with Superior Rigidity and Precision

The SW Series Gantry Machining Center is specifically engineered for heavy-duty machining of large workpieces, molds, dies, and precision mechanical components. Featuring an optimized structural design, the SW Series combines outstanding rigidity, machining accuracy, and productivity to meet today's demanding manufacturing requirements.

From the machine base and column to the crossbeam and drive system, every structural component has been carefully engineered to maximize stiffness while minimizing vibration and thermal deformation. The result is exceptional machining stability, even during prolonged heavy cutting operations.

1.Wide Machine Base for Outstanding Structural Rigidity

The SW Series features an extra-wide machine base that significantly increases guideway spacing and structural support.

This design effectively distributes cutting loads, minimizes deformation, and improves vibration resistance, allowing the machine to maintain excellent cutting stability during heavy-duty machining.

Combined with its large working table, the SW Series easily accommodates oversized molds and heavy workpieces while maintaining superior surface finish and dimensional accuracy.

2.Optimized Rib Structure Enhances Machine Stability

Hartford applies Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize the internal rib structure throughout the machine base, column, and crossbeam.

The reinforced box-type construction increases resistance to bending and torsional forces while efficiently absorbing machining vibrations.

This highly rigid structure enables the SW Series to maintain exceptional geometric accuracy throughout long machining cycles.

3.Hartford-Designed Gear Transmission for Maximum Cutting Power

To meet the demands of heavy-duty machining, the SW Series incorporates Hartford's in-house designed gear transmission system.

The gearbox efficiently delivers high spindle torque while minimizing power loss, enabling stable cutting performance even under aggressive machining conditions.

Whether machining large steel components, castings, molds, or difficult-to-machine materials, the SW Series provides the power and reliability required for high metal removal rates.

4.High-Rigidity Ball Screw Support Improves Positioning Accuracy

The SW Series is equipped with a highly rigid ball screw support system designed to reduce vibration and deflection during rapid feed movements.

Combined with a precision drive system, this design improves positioning accuracy and repeatability while ensuring consistent machining quality over extended production periods.

5.Hartford Gear-Type Milling Head for Heavy Cutting Applications

The SW Series features Hartford's self-developed gear-type milling head, engineered to provide exceptional rigidity and high torque output.

Its robust design delivers stable cutting performance during heavy machining operations while extending tool life and improving overall machining efficiency.

This makes the SW Series an ideal solution for mold manufacturing, energy equipment, heavy machinery, aerospace components, and other large-scale machining applications.
